Plain-language summary
Link Satchel is built to keep your saved links private and under your control. You do not need an account to use the app, and your saved links are stored locally on your Android device.
Information we handle
Link Satchel does not require you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, username, password, or profile details.
The app stores the following user-provided content locally on your device:
- Saved links and URLs
- Titles and optional descriptions you enter
- Categories and category colors you create
- App preferences, such as theme and dynamic color settings
Local storage
Link Satchel is local-first. Saved links and categories are stored in the app's local database on your device. Appearance preferences are stored locally using Android preference storage.
The app does not currently provide a Link Satchel account system, server-side link storage, or built-in cloud sync. Automatic Android cloud backup is disabled for this app.
Crash diagnostics
To improve app stability and reliability, Link Satchel uses Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
Crashlytics may collect technical diagnostic information such as:
- Crash stack traces
- App version and build information
- Device model and operating system version
- Anonymous installation or session identifiers
- Technical data needed to understand and fix crashes
This diagnostic data is used only to investigate crashes, improve stability, and reduce app-breaking issues. Link Satchel does not use Crashlytics as a link-sync or content backup service.
How information is used
Information handled by Link Satchel is used to:
- Save, display, search, and organize links
- Show categories and category colors
- Remember app preferences
- Export and restore user-created backup files when requested
- Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
Link Satchel does not use saved user content for advertising personalization, account profiling, social networking, or recommendation systems.
Backups and exports
Link Satchel can export your links and categories to a backup file through the app's Settings screen. Backup files are created only when you choose to export them.
If you save an exported backup file to another location, such as Google Drive or another cloud provider, that storage location is controlled by the service you choose and is subject to that service's own privacy policy.
Data deletion
You can delete local app content by:
- Deleting individual links inside the app
- Deleting custom categories inside the app
- Clearing Link Satchel's app storage from Android settings
- Uninstalling the app
Because automatic cloud backup is disabled, uninstalling the app or clearing app storage can permanently remove your saved links from that device. Export a backup first if you want to keep a copy.
Children's privacy
Link Satchel is a general productivity app and is not designed to collect personal identity information from children. The app does not require account creation or profile information.
Parents or guardians should supervise device and app usage according to the user's age, local requirements, and platform family settings.
Policy changes
This privacy policy may be updated when Link Satchel changes. If future versions add features that affect privacy, such as optional sync, accounts, or additional third-party services, this page should be updated to describe those changes clearly.
